Those are the personal stats in a nutshell. Now for a bit about my background. I grew up in Wilmington, NC, a nice little beachtown that has since exploded in growth. I went to John T. Hoggard High school where I graduated in 1997 with that diploma that qualifies one to be a fry cook. Afterwards, I attended the University of North Carolina - Wilmington to receive a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a minor in Chemistry and a concentration in Philosophy.
I worked at Corning for awhile as a Senior Database Tech. While there I learned the corporate way of life and gained an appreciation for the movie “Office Space.” I met alot of cool people while there and developed my business skills a bit. However, I found it lacking a bit in the sense that I wanted to do something medically related. After graduating, I went through the “unemployed computer person” phase that everyone else went through. During this year, I obtained my EMT certification and worked for a lil while as an Emergency Medical Technician. Talk about a dangerous job! Finally I obtained employment working for a urology clinic running a couple businesses that do online patient education and physician referrals.
Now? I am going to medical school to be a physician. What type of physician you ask? Well I am leaning toward Dermatology, Anesthesiology or Urology right now but that will change in my 3rd and 4th year rotations (or not).
How did I get into writing music and such? Well, I took band in Jr. High School but grew out of it relatively quickly. However, I found out then that I could play by ear very well. It wasn’t until my Freshman year in College that my best friend, Jade Hoy, gave me a guitar as a present. I learned to play guitar by writing songs and found out that it was alot of fun. I tend to write alot of comedy music because I’m a goofball but I also am branching out into other genres too. I’ve discovered over the past few years that I have a gift for writing lyrics on the fly so it really helps in the songwriting process. I know I’m not the world’s greatest singer but I am trying to improve on that aspect as well. The one thing I want from my music though is the ability for everyone to relate to it. Music is one of the greatest forms of expression and it’s use can provide for a powerful message!
Well there’s a brief rundown of me.
Check out the other hobbies and such to get insight into some of my hobbies and interests! Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Diversity should be your middle name. You”ve sampled alot for one so young.
Got to you when I googled ”urology humor”
AbbeyMoor Medical is in urology. Have FDA approval for the first prostatic stent that makes clinical sense.
One of our board of directors lives in Wilimington.., CEO of Trans1 in the orthopedic space.
The challange: diffusion of innovation within a community. Everett Rogers…
Part of that is awareness of the innovation. to that end, a periodical of prostates.., concluding with some urological humor.
What’’s the funniest thing you have either experience or heard about in urology? all topics are on the table.
Good luck with your career.
John
